A romantic and intimate wedding venue in this Grand Italian Villa. Hunters Moon is the perfect location for a wedding ceremony and reception following the marriage. We receive many requests from people who wish to have a formal seated dinner for a large number of people. We are unfortunately unable to cater for this type of event as we do not have a dedicated 'functions' room. However the overall scale of the house together with the open design of the downstairs reception areas means we can accommodate 50 guests in the house for a cocktail or buffet type reception or 100 in the garden.
There is a suitable area for an open-sided marquee to be erected on an upper terrace encompassing the three tiered fountain with uninterrupted views of the mountains and sea. For a larger gathering, the area around the pool can accommodate 100 people seated at individual tables in a sheltered and leafy garden with rose clad archways and fountains.

PARKING:
We have parking facilities for approximately 8 cars and all service vehicles. Non-resident guest vehicles may be parked on Southern Cross Drive.
SECURITY:
Hunters Moon Lodge is in an extremely secure environment - well off the main road and with entry through electric gates via video camera system.
MUSIC:
Whilst it is appreciated that music and dancing is an important element of any celebration, times for cessation of music and its volume must be agreed beforehand.
HIRE OF EQUIPMENT:
Hire of equipment and staff is at the risk of the hirer not Hunters Moon Lodge
LIQUOR LICENCE:
Hunters Moon Lodge has a liquor licence until 12 midnight which must be adhered to unless by prior arrangement.
OUTSIDE CATERERS:
In the event of an outside catering company using the facilities at Hunters Moon Lodge a document of agreement must be signed relating to the borrowing or use of equipment
SMOKING POLICY:
Smoking in public places has been banned in South Africa and is a sensitive issue. It would be appreciated if guests did not smoke in the house.

Fifth percent of the total value of your accommodation is due at the time the booking is made to hold the reservation, the balance becomes due on arrival:

Your booking is accepted on the basis that you and all other persons in your party have suitable travel and health insurance for your stay in South Africa. Hunters Moon Lodge, their agents and employees are not responsible for any death, illness or physical injury to persons or loss or damage to your property arising from or connected with the holiday booked by yourselves.
Due to the proximity of the swimming pool, ponds and fountains it is felt that this property is not suitable for young children unless at parents own risk.
Please note that any damage whether accidental or otherwise to furnishings, carpets or upholstery will be charged to your account.

Check in time on arrival is from 1400h to 1900h

For weddings, receptions or parties of more than 50 guests a returnable deposit cheque will be required in an amount which equates to 15% of the total booking cost to cover possible damages to soft furnishings and carpets etc.

If a Third Party is acting on your behalf it is taken that they have read these Booking Conditions and understood their implications whether a copy of these conditions have been faxed back or not. Please fax a signed copy of these Booking Conditions to +27 (0) 27 794 0184 as confirmation to your agreement and understanding of their terms. Whether a copy has been returned or not your booking is only accepted on the above terms.
